Delay of game decision has fans upset with team's call

Geoff Reader woke up Tuesday morning with an expensive decision to make. A resident of Bedford -- yes, in England -- Reader has been a Vikings season-ticket holder since 1995. For Sunday games, Reader typically flies to the Twin Cities on Saturday evening. He sits in section 220 at the Metrodome, cheers on the Vikings and then takes a red-eye flight back to London. But like thousands of outstate fans who own Vikings tickets, Reader's long-booked travel plans were threatened this week when the team put into limbo Sunday's game against Detroit. The game could be played as scheduled, or it could be moved to Monday night if the Twins play Game 5 of the AL Division Series on Sunday. Reader's options: Skip the trip, sacrificing his nonrefundable airfare as well as the cost of his game ticket. Or, more likely, Reader will purchase a one-way ticket to fly back Tuesday.
