| HQ BN Soldiers recognized during awards ceremony
Soldiers from Headquarters Battalion were awarded in an Eagle Team Recognition Ceremony on Aug. 24 with promotions, plaques and speeches at Wallace Theater. The ceremony began with a special presentation to the batallion’s former command sergeant major, Installation Command Sgt. Maj. Tracey Anbiya who moved to her new position June 21. "Words can’t express how the Soldiers of HHC feel about you," said Spc. Adam Watson, Headquarters Battalion. Anbiya was awarded with the batallion’s Certificate of Appreciation and a plaque with the battalion’s colors. "This was my first job as a command sergeant major," Anbiya said. "Each of you have taught me something and helped me succeed." Watson also received a promotion from private first class to specialist.

Those finishing in second, third, fourth and fifth place will receive $1,000, $700, 600 and $500, respectively, for assistance with expenses. Each of the winners has a choice of one of the following courses made available by the helicopter airframe and engine manufacturers or by Southern Illinois University.
